I share the same experience of the Tamarind. Sweet and Sour and Gooooooooooood! Grew up picking them in Grenada.

Lisa Titus Had my fair share of them while living in Jamaica. As a kid we had them right outta the shell, in a tasty drink or as tamarind balls(coated with sugar

Yna Floren makes a wonderful drink (Tamarindo) and a mexican fruit candy with chili powder on it!
