Eight years ago if anyone had told me that I was going to be excited and into planting gardens each year I would have told them yea really.
Back then the highlight of my summer was being off from school and heading to Manhattan for a day in the arts. Either an audition or an afternoon curled up in a corner at barns & nobles in were I spent most of my leisure time.
I have really come a long way because back then I was mostly only interested in myself. You know hair, cloths lifestyle the superficials as I like to call them.
Fast forward to two years ago and boy have I changed,I don't even think that half of my high school senior class would recognize me. I came from never repeating an outfit twice and never wearing a non brand name label to shopping anywhere as long as it has my size and style. Getting into the raw lifestyle has also opened up my consciousness to the real me, the person who God intended me to be before man interrupted.
Planting a garden means so much to me it goes beyond fresh organic produce. It is a connector to my spirit and soul, a place where God lives and directs my path. When I plant in my garden I feel like a nurture, someone who cares and respects the gifts that nature provides. It is such great therapy ; I know that allot of you are planting this year and i'm joining in happy gardening.
